Open Wheel Wednesday July 29, 2010 We had a new motor and an optimistic outlook for the event. The new motor performed great and we finsished 3rd in the 1st qualifying heat race. We started the feature on the pole and stayed in the top pack until being turned by another compeitor. That put us to the back and we worked our way up through. Lap 20, we were once again involved in a wreck that broke a brake caliper mount. This caused us to have no brakes and we were forced to retire from the race and finished 12th overall. Canaan fair Speedway this weekend July 31, 2010. See you there! Owner/Driver Stan Mertz has captured the Pro Four Modifieds of New England racing series 2009 Limited Division Season Championship This is the second year in a row for Mertz Racing. After two straight Championships in the Limited Division, Mertz Racing has moved up into the full Pro Four Modified Division in 2010!
